私はギターのリペアを手掛けていますが、クラシックギター3本に自分でサウンドポート明けました。効果は大きいです。サイド合板ギターはどの位置に開けても問題ないと思います。大きすぎれば問題ですが。単板の場合には穴の内側に木目に直交するように0.5mmほどの単板を穴より少し多き目に貼って補強すべきでしょう。音量のロスについては考える程には無い様です。それは音はサウンドホールだけから出ているのではなく、ギター全体から出ているからだと考えられます。
